Will know ETA once Alvin receives the shipping documents. I’ll be in Tokyo from 9 – 12 July, so it’d better not arrive then!

  1. Hi,I came across your website in piano forum. It’s very interesting to know that you have rekindled your passion for piano after your hiatus for 25 yrs. At least I am not the only one (only 9 years for me). Hope your like your new omega.

  2. I only wish I had done it earlier. But you know, things happen when they are supposed to happen. πŸ™‚

I will like the Omega for sure!

  3. I am so glad! Been feeling a little guilty at your loss ….. anyway wifey is trying to master Geshwin in between being a good cow ….. YOU WILL LOVE YOUR OMMEGA :):)

  4. Aiyah! No need to feel guilty lah. I can tahan the withdrawal as long as I know that the K-8 has gone to a good home.

    Wah! She plays Gershwin ah?

BTW did Chiam and wife contact you? Heheh. He was disappointed that you beat him to the K-8, but ended with an alternative pretty quickly.

  5. Geshwin was my idea – those are the kind of music I enjoy … πŸ™‚ Yes, Lisa called me – small world indeed!

  6. Hi Digitus,

Really like your blog – full of extremely useful information and a fascinating insight on your return to the piano!

I too am a returning learner (albeit not up to your standard!) who also had a Kawai upright (K6 in my case which was flood-damaged!) – How do you find the tone of the Sauter compares to the Kawai tone – presumably there are similarities given you liked both instruments – I expect the Sauter to have that much more but would welcome your feedback as someone who has played both πŸ™‚

Your Omega will be such a treat! They look absolutely beautiful and I bet the sound matches!

  7. Hi Genaa! Thanks for visiting. I don’t generally advertise my blog because it started as a private one, by invitation only. But a couple of friends suggested that I make it public.

I saw your post on PW asking about Kawai vs Sauter. I’ll respond to your question there. πŸ™‚

  8. Genaa: I re-read my reply to you and realised that is sounded like I was telling you that you weren’t welcome to read my blog. I hope you didn’t take it that way, because that was not what I meant! πŸ˜€
